Exit Studebaker
Stay left – turn left onto N. Studebaker Road

Take I-405 S (San Diego Freeway)
Take North Studebaker Road exit

Parking

5255 E. Paoli Way Long Beach, CA. 90803. Street parking available. Please be a good neighbor and do not make noise until after 7:00 AM.

Park in the south end parking lot of Marine Stadium at 490 Bayshore Ave.

Schedule of Events

6:30 AM: Canoe unloading (quiet until 7:00 AM!)
7:00 AM: Registration, breakfast, vendors, merchandise, raffle and silent auction open
7:45 AM: Keiki race steersperson meeting
8:00 AM: Keiki race start
8:00 AM: Novice, junior, and short course steersperson meeting
8:30 AM: Novice, junior, and short course race start (approx. 4 miles)
9:00 AM: Open steersperson meeting
10:00 AM: Women/Coed race start; start line outside the jetty (approx. 10 miles)
12:00 PM: Men’s race start; start line outside the jetty (approx. 10 miles)
2:00 PM: Grand prize raffle drawn and silent auction closes
TBD: Awards ceremony at conclusion of men’s race

Waivers

All paddlers, visitors, guest of clubs or support staff must complete a 2024 SCORA Liability Waiver. No exceptions. Sign waiver here

How to Register/Guest Club Login

Registration Steps/Login

If anyone from your club has participated in a SCORA race in the past, please use your club’s account login and do not create another one and login here.

If new to racing with SCORA register here

Once in your account:

  1. Enter a coach if not already in there. Must enter them as “New”
  2. IF using your own canoes – check borrowed
  3. When it says “select the canoe you will be borrowing”, scroll down to “canoe not listed”, check the box of type, then type the canoe number. No need for color or name.
  4. If borrowing from SCORA – same as #3 but put “unknown” in the canoe number space
  5. Paddler input screen comes up – enter all of your paddlers under “Guest”.
  6. Select  a coach
  7. Hit next and you will be sent to the payment screen. Pay in person or online.

Beach Rules

Please be considerate of the residents and keep the noise down until 7:00 AM. No alcohol, glass, fires, pets, or drones in Marine Stadium.

Food

Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase. Snacks available for sale at the Kahakai booth.

SCORA Zero Waste Initative

We will be supporting the SCORA Zero Waste Initiative. Look for Recycle, Compost, and Landfill bins. Bring your own reusables. We encourage the use of refillable water bottles.
