Hokuloa Outrigger Canoe Club welcomes you to their annual Ventura Outrigger Challenge – where competing teams will battle it out in this 6-man iron race on the open ocean with views of the spectacular Channel Islands.

We are honored to celebrate 35 years as part of the Ventura community and grateful for the support we receive from partner agencies, sponsors, local vendors, and volunteers.

Celebrate World Ocean Day during the Ventura Outrigger Challenge with ocean-oriented vendors including our event partner Paso Pacífico.

The Crystal Pier Outrigger Canoe Race is a Southern California Outrigger Racing Association Race, hosted by Hanohano Canoe Club in San Diego, CA. The race draws 1500+ participants annually who battle in a 6-mile short course, novice and kid’s race as well as a 10-mile men, women and coed races in six person outrigger canoes.
